MCU-2 Shutdown Unit
With Voltfree Changeover Contacts
This unit is ideal for the control of electrical equipment in the event of a fire, it connects to existing fire alarm systems and provides a clear user interface for clients.
The unit may be powered from any convenient and suitable 230 volt supply and is also connected to a typical 24 volt sounder circuit or via CIE fire relays on a BS5839 Fire Alarm System. The unit has a set of 6 amp 230 volt rated volt free changeover contacts (C Form) which change state on a trigger input or failure of mains supply.
The system is reset by pushing the green reset button on the front of the unit. The unit will not reset when the trigger is removed which can occur with typical simple relay arrangements on sounder circuits if alarms are silenced.
The unit has a key switch which enables testing to be carried out without shutting down connected equipment.
Clear instructions are provided for the user on the front of the unit.
