PCR-1 Plant Control Relay
The FIre Alarm Plant Control Relay is a simple way to provide isolation of electrical equipment in the event of a fire, it can be installed to directly control equipment up to 8 amps, or to switch multiple items of plant using contactor arrangements.
The Plant Control Relay may be powered from any suitable and convenient 230 volt local power supplyand is also connected to the 24 volt sounder circuits of a conventional BS5839 Fire Alarm System.
The unit has a set of 8 amp 230 volt rated volt free changeover contacts which can change state on a trigger input or failure of mains supply.
The system is triggered when the alarms sound and can only be reset by pushing the green reset button on the front of the unit. The unit will not reset when the 24 volt trigger is removed which can occur with typical simple relay arrangements on sounder circuits if alarms are silenced.
Clear instructions are provided for the user on the front of the unit and LED lamps confirm the units status.
